Terms of Service

By using ClearCut AI ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms.

1. Use of the Service

ClearCut AI lets you upload a photo and remove its background using one of four tiers. The Service is provided free of charge, "as is", with no guarantee of availability, accuracy, or output quality.

2. Your responsibility for uploaded content

You must only upload photos that you own or have the legal right to edit. You may not use the Service to:

• Process content you do not own or are not licensed to modify — including licensed stock photography, another creator's copyrighted work, or official documents and IDs.
• Process images to facilitate fraud, forgery, or infringement of a third party's rights.
• Upload unlawful, abusive, or content that violates the rights of any person.

We may refuse to process, or may remove access for, uploads that appear to violate these terms.

3. On-device tiers

The Light, Standard, and Precise tiers use open-source models under the Apache 2.0 license, and processing happens entirely on your device. We are not responsible for the accuracy of their output, which may vary with your device's capabilities.

4. Cloud tier and third-party AI processing

Image generation for the Cloud tier is performed by a third-party AI provider. We are not responsible for the accuracy, fidelity, or availability of their processing, and results may vary or occasionally fail. See our Privacy Policy for details on how images are handled by that provider.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular quality of background removal, that original details will be perfectly preserved, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearCut AI and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
